Found this interesting incident reported in Slashdot via Wired. A guy outsourced his job to India. Here is what he got to say:"About a year ago I hired a developer in India to do my job. I pay him $12,000 to do the job I get paid $67,000 for. He’s happy to have the work. I’m happy that I only have to work 90 minutes a day, talking code. My employer thinks I’m telecommuting. Now I’m considering getting a second job and doing the same thing."
That sounds rational for them. Go read the complete article at WIRED.

You should be under rocks, if your are in India and missed the Sivaji Fever. Even in US this is the 19th most hottest search term in Google (Sivaji Review) and 55th search term (Sivaji Movie). And that is in US. What ever record was there before for a movie, it is shattered now. I am not turning this weblog into a movie review site or local content site, but no one could resist the Sivaji fever!

Over the weekend I had a chance to lay my hands on the "The Alchemist". This book needs no introduction and I know I am very late to read this book, because I usually don't read stories. Not Anymore!. My perception of story telling was flawed. This book is one gem of a book for everyone. For everyone who have a dream and would like to follow it. For every one who believes there is a purpose for their existence on the earth. For everyone who needs to understand that there is a huge effort between dreaming and realizing the dream. I am happy that this weekend went good!.

This is not the first time I am talking about off-line web application access. Yes, I am talking about Google Gear. It is a development tool which can be used by any web application we use to have a local storage of content even if the browser is off-line. And this is first implemented in my favorite Google App, the Reader. I hope to see a lot of applications leveraging this API and also this being closely tied with GWT. And I must also say that there is a possibility for this being a default implementation( at least a preferred one) for the Firefox off-line functionality.
